1) Who this Policy applies to

This Privacy Policy explains how ZentaSync Team (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use the ZentaSync application and related services (the “Service”).

ZentaSync helps knitters turn yarn into an organized, trackable project from the very first skein. You can capture yarn photos, save batch, needle size, and material details, keep project references in visual cards, compare and preserve yarn shades, document gauge/tension via photos, and record voice notes for progress tracking.

Age notice (17+): The Service is intended for people aged 17 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17. If you believe a minor has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.

3) Photos, faces, and biometrics

  • We do not perform facial recognition.
  • We do not create biometric identifiers or biometric profiles from your photos.
  • We do not use your photos or User Content for marketing profiling, and we do not use them to train third-party/public AI models.
  • By default, photos are stored locally on your device unless you choose to upload/sync or request server processing.

4) How we use information

  • Provide and maintain the Service (accounts, core features, syncing if enabled)
  • Personalize your experience (preferences, organization, display of records)
  • Improve performance, reliability, and features
  • Security, fraud prevention, and abuse prevention
  • Customer support and communications
  • Legal compliance and enforcement of our terms

We do not sell your personal information.

5) Optional AI-assisted features (if available)

ZentaSync may offer optional features that use automated processing (sometimes described as “AI”) to help you generate or enhance content from selected text and/or images (for example, turning a photo or note into a structured yarn record).

  • You control whether to upload and generate content; these features are optional.
  • Your selected text/images may be uploaded to ZentaSync Team’s own servers for processing.
  • Processing occurs on servers under our control. We do not share your uploaded text/images with any third party for these features.
  • We do not use uploaded text/images for training third-party/public AI models or for marketing.
  • After processing completes, input data is deleted from our processing systems as soon as reasonably possible (typically immediately after generation), except for limited security logging or delivery needs.

6) How we share information

We share information only when necessary and in the minimum amount required:

  • With your consent: when you ask us to share or enable a sharing feature.
  • Service providers (processors): vendors who help us operate the Service under contractual confidentiality and security obligations.
  • Legal requirements: to comply with law or valid requests.
  • Protection: to protect rights, safety, and prevent fraud or abuse.

7) International data transfers

Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live. Where required, we use safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) or equivalent mechanisms.

8) Data security

  • Encryption in transit and encryption at rest where appropriate
  • Access controls and least-privilege policies
  • Regular security reviews/audits and monitoring
  • Backups and recovery procedures

No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9) Data retention

  • Account information: retained while your account is active
  • After account deletion: deleted or anonymized within 30 days (unless required by law)
  • Usage analytics: generally retained up to 12 months
  • Support records: generally retained up to 6 months
  • One-time processing inputs: deleted as soon as reasonably possible after processing (typically immediately after generation), subject to limited security logging or delivery needs

10) Your rights and choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or withdraw consent. You can also control certain permissions (such as location) via your device settings.

11) Third-party services

The Service may include third-party links or platform features. This Policy does not govern third parties’ practices. Please review their privacy policies.

12) Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the Effective Date when changes take effect. Your continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.

13) Governing law and disputes

This Policy is governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where ZentaSync Team has its principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, disputes arising out of or relating to this Policy will be resolved by binding arbitration rather than in court. Before starting arbitration, you agree to contact us at aguascalientesronko@gmail.com and attempt informal resolution.
